Amanda’s
Story
Amanda joined York Learning when she was given the chance to study for Functional Skills
English and maths alongside her work at the University. Her con昀椀dence grew so much
that she came back, 昀椀rst to further her childcare career with a Level 5 Diploma, and again
to retrain as a counsellor. She’s now studying for her Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic
Counselling. “Since day one I have felt safe and supported to share my experiences. Without
York Learning I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
